When he was bought from Bayern Munich for €12m, Chris Richards probably thought he would play more at Crystal Palace than he has done.

The young centre-back has only featured 16 times for the Eagles since his arrival, and has spent the vast majority of this campaign on the bench.

His situation at Crystal Palace has caught the attention of a few clubs, including Feyenoord, who, according to 1908.nl, are considering a move for him in January.

The outlet explain there has been ‘some rapprochement’ from the Eredivisie with Richards’ entourage, likely to find out if he would be interested, but it ‘remains to be seen’ whether this will lead to anything more concrete.

Seeing as the 23-year-old still has three and a half years on his Crystal Palace contract, there is plenty of room to get him on loan ‘with a possible option to buy’.

They reckon the feasibility of the deal stands at 70%, but warn that Feyenoord aren’t the only interested club, as PSV Eindhoven are also lurking.

We will now have to wait for more information, but considering his use and need for minutes to develop, this could be an option that suits all parties.

Crystal Palace could be a potential destination for Bayern Munich goalkeeper Alexander Nübel, if he leaves as expected next summer.

That’s according to BILD, who say the 27-year-old has three scenarios in front of him as he decides what comes next in his career.

The newspaper explains that after contract renewals for Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich, it’s become clear that Nübel will not be returning to the club at the end of the season.

He’s currently on loan at VfB Stuttgart and that ends in the summer, so a decision needs to be made about what comes next.

One option is that he extends his deal with Bayern and is loaned out again, although that would require a three-way agreement between all the relevant parties on terms similar to this season.

The second option is that Stuttgart sign him permanently but that seems unlikely as they’ve made it clear Nübel is too expensive in terms of fee and wages. That could change if there are big money departures but for now, he’s too expensive.

Which takes us to scenario three, which would mean Nübel not signing a new deal and looking for a new club to join.

According to BILD’s information the goalkeeper was already on Crystal Palace’s radar in the summer as they looked for a new number one.

Nübel eventually decided to remain in Germany but a move to the Premier League would allow him to earn ‘significantly more salary’ than he currently does and would allow Bayern to get more money through a transfer.

Whether Crystal Palace would still be in the mix given they spent €17.5m to sign Dean Henderson from Manchester United in the summer is up for debate, but they’re known as an interested party, nonetheless.

Henderson has struggled with injuries this season and barely featured since his arrival, so there is a chance they could look at alternative options and Nübel would fit the bill.

It’s something to keep an eye on in the coming months either way, with the player’s future seemingly away from Bayern and Crystal Palace having considered him in the summer.

West Ham and Crystal Palace have been handed a huge blow in their potential pursuit of RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, as he’s not interested in a move to either club.

That’s according to BILD, who say the German is not interested in joining either side at this moment in time.

Werner has found himself out of the picture at Leipzig this season, with just eight appearances in the Bundesliga so far and featuring in just 21% of the available minutes.

He no longer appears to be a part of their plans moving forward and that has led to speculation he will be moved on in the January transfer window, even if it was on loan to get regular playing time ahead of the European Championship in the summer.

A report earlier this week stated West Ham and Crystal Palace were in the picture for a possible deal and even insisted that he would be open to the idea, despite his disappointing spell at Chelsea.

BILD state the opposite though, reporting that while West Ham and Crystal Palace are said to have expressed interest, and could pay the striker’s salary of €10m a year, something other Bundesliga sides cannot, they ‘currently play no role’ in Werner’s thinking.

In other words, it appears that even if the interest is there and is serious, Werner isn’t currently thinking about exploring those options.

Whether that’s because he wants a move elsewhere or simply isn’t keen isn’t made clear, but for now it seems the Premier League duo would be best advised turning their attention elsewhere.

Boasting 18 goals in 33 games for Bodø/Glimt in Norway this year, Faris Moumbagna has attracted some attention from various clubs in Europe with his performances.

According to Africa Foot, Lille, Burnley and Crystal Palace are all keen on signing him in January, while Lyon are also said to be in the mix.

The last two are both owned by John Textor in some shape or form, so that could be why we are seeing the two names.

Over at Burnley, it’s explained the Clarets want to sign Moumbagna ‘as early as’ the winter transfer window to try and help them avoid relegation back down to the Championship.

However, they are facing competition from Crystal Palace, who have allegedly been after the Cameroonian for ‘a while’, but are simply waiting for the ‘right time’ to make their offer.

There’s no mention regarding the price of the striker, but with the end of the season approaching, it could be the right time for the Norwegian side to cash in on him.

We now have to wait and see whether it’s Burnley or Crystal Palace who make the first move for the 23-year-old.

River Plate are willing to negotiate a deal for youngster Pablo Solari if Crystal Palace decide to revive their interest in the January transfer window.

That’s according to TyC Sports, who say the Argentine side are willing to do a deal below the €20m release clause in the player’s contract.

They explain that several teams from Europe are following Solari, who has been shining for River Plate since his arrival from Colo Colo in July 2022.

Crystal Palace were one of those to show an interest and the possibility of a move ‘had arisen’ earlier this year, with reports suggesting that they would make a $15m offer for him. That idea, though, ‘came to nothing’.

Their interest has not gone away and a recent report from Argentina indicated that they were once again considering a $15m move for the forward.

TyC don’t back that up on this occasion but do report that should any club come forward, River Plater are willing to do a deal.

They have Solari tied down to a deal until 2026 and that includes a release clause of $20m, which is considered ‘onerous’. But those in charge at the club have been keen to outline that ‘the amount is negotiable’ and a deal can be done for a number similar or close to that figure.

Whether that lures Crystal Palace into a concrete move remains to be seen but it is certainly possible that they can get their man for around the figure they were initially looking at.

West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Fulham are all in the picture to sign RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner in the January transfer window as he looks to secure playing time elsewhere.

That’s according to SportBILD, who say the current Leipzig ‘benchwarmer’ wants a move ahead of the Euros next summer.

The newspaper explains that Leipzig are on course for something of a ‘wild winter’ as they look to restructure the squad for the second half of the season.

Midfielder Emil Forsberg has already secured a move to New York Red Bulls and Werner could follow him out of the door after falling out of favour under Marco Rose.

He’s currently a ‘benchwarmer’ and that means a move is possible in January as he needs to get more playing time to be a part of Germany’s squad for the Euros next summer.

A ‘change makes sense’ with that in mind and Leipzig are ‘ready to talk’ about a potential deal with anyone who shows an interest.

The striker also believes there is ‘nothing wrong’ with a return to England, despite his somewhat miserable time at Chelsea, and West Ham, Crystal Palace and Fulham are all showing interest.

One potential issue is the striker’s ‘high basic salary’ but even that is unlikely to be as big an issue for mid-table Premier League as it would be for other potential suitors.

All three of West Ham, Crystal Palace and Fulham need a goal scorer to bolster their squads having struggled in that department this season and it seems they’re now keen on Werner, even after his struggles at Stamford Bridge.

Crystal Palace are ready to make a $15m offer for River Plate rising star Pablo Solari, but that may not be enough to get a deal over the line.

That’s according to journalist Miguel Hoffman, who has confirmed Crystal Palace’s interest on a recent appearance on Radio Continental.

El Futbolero cover the journalist’s recent appearance on the radio station to discuss Solari’s performances this season and a potential move to the Premier League.

The youngster has been one of the stars for River Plate this season, proving to be the driving force in the side despite only being a substitute.

Thos performances have not gone unnoticed, and several reports have indicated there is interest in the Premier League from Crystal Palace and West Ham.

Hoffman now confirms as much, stating that Palace are ‘interested in acquiring’ the services of the 22-year-old, who has 12 goals and 10 assists in 2023.

He confirmed that the Eagles would be willing to offer no less than $15m dollars for the player, but River Plate are looking for $25m, so there is a considerable distance between the two parties at this moment in time.

That $25m figure is below a $20m release clause that was mentioned earlier this year, so it seems Crystal Palace are looking to get a discount either way.

With them seemingly ready to make a move, though, Solari may be a name to keep an eye on in the coming weeks as we get closer to January.

Loaned to RWDM last season from Crystal Palace, Jake O’Brien returned to Selhurst Park with a new status, having enjoyed glowing reviews in Belgium.

There was a belief he might be able to convince Roy Hodgson to use him during the current campaign, and the player set off on pre-season with the Premier League side.

However, it wasn’t to be, and the defender was sold by Crystal Palace to Lyon, where he is now making a name for himself, sitting down with Le Soir in Belgium to discuss the last few months of his career.

While there was a lot of talk about his time at Molenbeek, where he won the Belgium second-tier title and helped them return to the Jupiler Pro League, he was also asked about his return to the Eagles and his desire to prove his worth to the English club.

He said: “I especially wanted to prove it to myself, but after the preseason, which went well in my eyes, I thought it was time to move and follow a different path in my career. I wanted a new challenge, and Lyon came. I couldn’t refuse.”

There was also talk about him potentially returning to RWDM on a permanent basis, and O’Brien admitted that it was a possibility, but nothing concrete ever came from it.

That’s why he chose to go to Lyon, who have been in terrible form, sitting rock bottom of Ligue 1 with one win in their first 11 games.

It was, in fact, O’Brien who scored the winner this weekend against Rennes to give his new club their first three points of the season.

Despite Denmark being on a good run of form in terms of victories, the manner in which some of those have taken place has left a small dark cloud of Kasper Hjulmand’s role as the national team manager.

That’s because they made a meal out of a 2-1 win over San Marino, but Crystal Palace’s Joachim Andersen isn’t exactly worried for the man who recently picked him to be a part of the squad.

A couple of the Denmark players were asked if they felt there should be a change of manager, and while some tried to dodge the question, the Eagles man, speaking to Bold, stepped up and answered it directly.

The Crystal Palace centre-back said: “I think it’s a bit ridiculous, to be completely honest, but it’s not something that I want to focus that much on. We have won the lsat four games, so that is what I’m basing it on. We have a game on Friday where we can win the group, so that’s good.”

Denmark play Slovenia on Friday at home, a game in which Joachim Andersen will almost be guaranteed to start in, before heading to Northern Ireland for their second fixture of the international break on Monday.

With already 25 caps to his name and a starting spot at Crystal Palace locked in, the 27-year-old has been in good form this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist for the Selhurst Park side in 12 Premier League games.

Towards the end of the 2021 summer transfer window, Crystal Palace were in search of a new striker, and decided to spend just over €16m on Odsonne Edouard.

The Frenchman, who was so lethal in Scotland, has taken his time to adapt to Premier League football, but it appears that after two seasons with six and five league goals to his name, he is finally finding his feet.

The Crystal Palace forward spoke to Paris Saint-Germain’s website over the weekend to discuss his early career with the Ligue 1 side, as well as what followed his 2017 exit, with the current season also a topic of discussion.

With five goals in 11 Premier League games to date, Edouard has already equalled last season’s tally (in 35 appearances), showing that he can be a key player for Roy Hodgson’s side, and can be counted on to find the back of the net.

The striker revealed he is trying to have his best season to date with Crystal Palace, as he has loftier ambitions that remaining at Selhurst Park, even if he is very happy to be with the Eagles for the time being.

He said: “I try to give the best version of myself every time I step onto a pitch. Making the supporters at Selhurst Park proud is my goal. It is by achieving successful performances that I could aspire to join one of the biggest European clubs.

“I strive to become a striker that matters on the European scene. It is therefore important to have a great season with the Eagles.”

With a contract at Crystal Palace coming to an end in 2025, next summer could be key for both the club and the player, as he would only have one year left on his deal.

This would mean either putting pen to paper on a new contract at Selhurst Park or a transfer away, all depending on who becomes interested in the 25-year-old.
